Billy Kanwisher takes Candy - 06/01/08 |

On a day when everyone seemed to find small fish, Bill Kanwisher proved why he is defending Angler of the Year. Buck smallmouth dominated the day, however Bill found enough "good ones" to come in first with 11.84lbs. Manny Cruz had yet another strong 2nd place finish with 11.19lbs, while Mike Avery finished 3rd with 10.72lbs. Rounding out the top 5 were John Nowicky and Sean Loll. 26 United Bass Anglers participated with 17 limits brought to the scales. Unfortunately for most, big fish were few and far between.
